I think is amazing all the gadgets we’re creating to make cycling a safer way to get around. The Early Winter Night Biking Gloves is a great example: wool gloves with LEDs that lights up an arrow sign when you hold your hand in form of a fist.

A new app called “GreenCam” makes sure your computer enters energy-saving mode when no one is there, by using your webcam. Developed by the brazilian company Ecobenefícios, the app is free and you can download it here. It’s estimated that the app can save a company of 200 employees around $130 a month, considering that every staff member is absent from their desk for about 1 hour a day.

Considering this, TGO Green Energy Gym is an outdoor installation of cardio equipment that encourages people of all ages to workout and then converts the energy generated into useable electricity. The free and public gym located in North East England lights up using kinect power harnessed through the use of cross training machines, bikes and other fitness. It’s a healthy, green and shiny  way of lighting your city up at night!

Underwater bar in a Submarine

Celebrating its 250th anniversary in big style, Guinness made an unique deep-sea bar for the Sea Experience competition. Designed by the London based architecture firm Jump Studios, the 11m2 old submarine was turned into an awesome bar made of reinforced glass and plastic rubber discs equipped with LED resembling bubbles. Three lucky people had the pleasure to join the opening trip at the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
